What's at Stake

For a franchise in only its second Salt Lake City season, this series opens Utah NHL playoff history. Vegas, a former Stanley Cup champion, holds home-ice advantage as the Pacific Division's top seed. The Mammoth enter on the strength of a late-season push that locked in the Wild Card and, with it, the matchup. A best-of-seven run could carry into early May if Utah advances.

The Delta Center will host Games 3, 4, and — if necessary — Game 6. Circle Friday, April 24.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs begin Sunday night.
